Fashion, Cakes and CHRISTMAS :)

We won the spider blog award and came second in the edublog :) Thanks to everyone who voted :D

Lots of things to do this week, next class I have to present my geography project. Hopefully it goes well as I've slaved over it for ageees :/

We watched the TY fashion show today :) All the outfits were amazing especailly the black swan outfit, my personal favourite ;)  We'll find out which outfit won later on today :)

 

We had a backesale for our mini company yesterday. We sold nearly everything, I think there were like four buns left and that was it :) We raised over a hundred euro for our mini company 'sweet dreams' so hopefully we can start selling soon :P I have to tye dye a sheet this week and then make some pillow cases out of it. As our mini company idea is pillows with suction cups on the back fro travelling, in car, plane ect :)

 

Christmas test next week ): But who cares when its this close to christmas, can't wait :D

This week we wnet to see the ballet :) They danced the nutcracker and the ice queen. The dancers were all very talented and I really enjoyed it. It was held in Belvedeer in Dublin. The dancers ranged from about fifteen / sixteen to ten / eleven :) They were all amazing :D It was about two hours long and we were very near the front. It was a really good expirience there was also three girls from our school in the ballet. Afterwards we went to McD's :D



In school we're presenting our geography projects, I presented thailand yesterday and im doing the rest next week... nervous :P

Work & opeera ;)

Yesterday we went to see Don Giovanni in the Swan cinema, Rathmines. It was five hours long :L and in italian. Thankfully there were subtitles. We got the bus from school at half nine and arrived at about quater past ten. Interesting but tiring :)





Work expirience was last week :D I went to Insight theater group. We went on the circuit to prosperous, skerries, rosmore and loads more venus. I got to learn lighting sound, how to prompt, budgeting, costumes and setting/striking the stage. It was a great expirience, everyone was really nice and I would definietly recommend it. If you like theater and travelling.

Do you know what I'm saying ? ;)

Today is Wednesday and I don't really have much to write, funnily enough. Classes have been going on as usual but we haven't been on any trips ): However work expirience is looming in the near future. For the first week I am going on the circuit with insight theater. For the second week I'm going to Trocaire in maynooth. I'll tell you more about them when they actually happen.
Halloween is coming up and I'm dressing as a banana :D We have a dress up day in school on Friday and i intend to be in full banana mode eventhough we're supposed to be the adams family :/
Classes are going well, still alot to do, a geography project & a history project. But I'll manage them over the midterm.
Well Imma go now so bye :)

Let it snow

The 24th of October :) Snow is supposed to be coming so fingers crossed it comes before halloween :)
Anyway there's alot going on in school at the moment so a few days off to catch up would'nt go astray. But everything will work out in the end, I hope :/ :L
I'm still in the middle of my geography around the world trip, this week I'm jetting off to mongolia :) Fun but very tiring.
We went to see Juno and the paycock in Dublin yesterday. It was a great production and really helped me with an essay I have due on one of the characters. The actors were graet and the set was amazing. The only thing that bothered me was the imaturity of some of the other schools there they laughed at all the serious scenes which I thought was very disrespectful to the actors :/ The cast got a standing ovation at the end that was well deserved.
We also went to see the bog bodies in the natural history museam this was also very interseting :) We went to the yeats exhibtion also. This especailly interested me as I love yeats and the exhibtion was very well laid out. To top off a great day we got to spend half an hour on grafton street for lunch :D

Pushing on with projects :)

Hello everyone, who speaks English ;)
Today is the 13th of October :D .... That has no significance I just thought I'd mention it :) So, not much exciting things going on this week, well unless you count essays as exciting. Which some people might I guess :L I have two English essays to do, I'm still working on my geography project and I also have a history project to complete, on everyone's favourite topic at the moment... the government :P

The fun walk was last Friday We Won :D We all dressed up as builders :) and danced to big fish, little fish. All the Ty classes were good, but I'm happy we won :D It would have been a great day even if we hadn't won. We got a free can of coke or whatever when we finished the walk so it was worth it ;)  We all had to bring in two euro and we're making a donation to pieta house this week.



Yesterday we had a mini company workshop in New bridge :) We got loads more tips on advertising our business and learnt how to make a swat analysis. And before we left we got abrakabara ;) nom nom :P that holds your locker key :) We're still working on production but the main problem we're having is pricing the product at the minute no one can decide a good all round price :L So we'll have to work that out soon if we intend to be selling by Christmas :) Only two months to go !! :D

We're going to see Juno and the paycock in the Abbey theater in Dublin next Wednesday :D I like the play so that should be fun ;) This blog is getting way too long so cya :L

So much to do, so little to see

I have so much to do this week I probably won't see anything outside my bedroom. This week I have a geography project on an around the world trip to do, this week I'm finishing off my report on Poland.
I also have another drawing for art, another leaf :L But this time in colour :)
I also have to perfect my dance for the fun walk with my class, that reminds me, I also need a bob the builder costume. I should really get working on that as the fun walk is twomorrow :L
Another thing I have yet to tick off my long list is sending the dimensional scetches to our manufacturer in 'Mini Company' we need some serious work done,if we intend to be ready for our next mini company workshop.
However this week wasn't totally fruitless I did manage to secure my work expirience for both weeks :D
Anyone else have the song 'A-team' stuck in their head ?? :L Maan it's starting to annoy me :L  Anyway slateeer ;)

Back again with more updates on my year in ty :)
Things seem to be going a bit better this week in general, I now have a supplier/manufacturer for mini company, as I've probably already mentioned :) We have a mini company workshop coming up which should be fun ;o  
It was my birthday two days ago so I'm still in a very good mood. I've also gotten all my flights booked for geography around the world in 360 days trip :D So I'm not as stressed anymore as you can tell :) I think I've eventually settled into ty. 
The Fun walk is coming up next week :) As part of our friendship week we walk around celbridge class by class in fancy dress. Each year is given a colour, this year tys are Yellow :) So we've decided to dress up as bob the builder, that's all Im saying as the rest of our plans are secret :L
Lastly Ive finally finished developing my idea for the young scientist :) Planning on pressing the 'submit' button this Friday if all goes well :P

First Week In T.Y ;o

After three months of just about managing to drag myself out of bed at twelve in the afternoon getting back into the routine of waking at seven and being ready for a ten past eight, on the dot (more or less) departure, was to say the least challanging :L 
The first day of Ty was the same as any other first day back. By that I mean a frenzie of organising school bags, digging out uniforms and buying all neccassairy stationary on the way to school.
Coming in those double doors was as familiar as if I hadn't just had a three month holiday :D Right now the buzz of meeting up with all my friends has suppressed the revelation that The Holidays Are Over ):

Another Week In T.Y :)

Back again,
 With another account of my t.y. week :) Week 4 ;)
So far this week we haven't been on any outings. But that doesn't mean we haven't had fun :P We've been working on our religion posters, cracking on with our mini company ideas, taking geography tests on the counties of Ireland and playing some very intense games of bench ball in p.e. (: So you could say although it's only Wednesday we've had a pretty good half week.
We've had bits of homework here and there ,but nothing major (:
The only thing right now that's worrying me is finding someone to manufacture my mini company product. Out of eight possibles, three have already said they can't help us :/ But fingers crossed we'll be more successful with the other five:D

We've also been working on our entries fro the bt young scientist exhibition. My group are doing a project based on make-up & how wearing waterproof make-up effects your skin. So even if our application doesn't get accepted we'll still have found out some useful information.

Another event looming in the near future is work experience week number one:/ Fortunately for once I have something planned and I'm spending the first week in 'Trocaire' :D It should be a really valuable experience and I intend to make the most of it.

Results :P

Well I got my junior cert results yesterday :P I got the results I wanted. All honours but that's all I'm saying. ;o Many people decided to go out partying for their results night but not me ;) I hung around Celbridge like a little lonley soul, well I would have been a lonley soul if there hadn't been twelve of my friends there .. -_- I knew in the long run I'd regret not doing much for results night but last night I was just too tired :Z So I went to singing class and then went out with my friends :)
My mom was happy with my results eventhough they weren't as great as my sisters :P So was my dad so happy in fact I got a little bit of reward money ;o

Carlingford ;)

Back from Carlingford and could easily sleep for a week :P Very tempting not to come in today, but as everyone knows today is junior cert results day :L So as I sit here writing this I am nervously awaiting my results :P I could have stayed at home and waited for them online I guess but then I would have had way too much time to think about it, so I decided to come in and endure a tiring day of school :L
We got the bus to carlingford at seven o'clock. So naturally I woke at four a.m. that night and did all my packing. We got there at around nine or ten. We were split into two groups and away we went on our first activity. Which happened to be a challange course.
After a well earned luch of chips and beans and sausages for those who eat meat :/ we headed out on the second activity of the day... Laser shooting :D We all dressed up in army one pieces and hiked up half a mountain to the shooting range. Which was a huge upward sloping field of dirt. Filled with huts, trenches, sandbags, barrels and everything else needed to make it look like a battlefield. We split into two teams ; the reds and blues. Each gun had a name I was Xenon ;) After we learned how to use the guns, the war began. That activity was definietly the most exciting :)
