Shake It Out :)

Hola:)
Tonight is the music night(: and our class is performing florence and the machine's 'shake it out' :D Curtains go up at 7:30 tonight, and we're on seventh in the second half so there will be planty of time to practice:L We're singing the song with fellow ty class Eiriú. There will be many other acts on as well, I think class Fodla are doing wake me up(: and there'll be lots of third and sixth years performing too as well as our choir:D
Hope fully it goes well(:
Yesterday was the first year sports afternoon which my class Banba organised. It was a great afternoon and the first years seemed to have a good time:) My favourite event was the hurdles and high jump. I was in charge of countinh the points for class Emerald, they did very well and so did all the other classes, but there had to be a winner and class pearl came out on top:)
Scifest is also coming up, and every ty is enetering a project in either twos, threes or fours. Its being held in IT tallaght and everyone is busy making posters for their display. Our project is the same as it was for bt young scientist. It's on make-up and our experiments and surveys are nearly done so we should be ready to start printing our poster very soon :)
Well thats it:L Hasta Leugo..

St.Patricks Daaay Weekend(:

Hope everyone had a great Paddys day(: To celebrate Paddys day in school we had a dress up day and everyone seemed to get into the spirit. We had a céilí in the p.e. hall because it was raining so the courtyard was out of the equasion): The school was packed with farmers, people dressed up as bags of tea, shamrocks and every other irish or green thing you can think of(: It was a great day and all the money that was collected from students
went to some very worthy charities:D
There were loads of amazing parades all around Ireland on Paddys day and I hope that everyone got a chance to see you. My personal favourite is of course the Dublin parade(: This year was amazing as usual:) The only downside to the dublin parade is that it is always thronged with people and sometimes its hard to see the parade:)
Like I said hope everyone had a greeeat day:D
Later:P

Washing mud out of my hair for half an hour! (:

Yesterday we went to an assault course on puddenhill, called braveforce(: It was great fun. My knees are now a mass of bruises and I can safely say last night I was asleep before I hit the pillow, even though I slept on the bus home. I loved all the obstacles, it was the long stretches inbetween them that had me panting and gasping for breathe. I probably never would have finished the course if it wasn't for Lauren screaming at me to keep going every five minutes :P My favourite obstacles were the water ones, every time you felt like you were starting to get sweaty or two hot, there was a big muddy, water filled trench to cross, it may not sound it but it was great fun :L Here's one of the obstacles we had to climb ! :L
Harder then it looks! :L
Well that's pretty much it(: Byeeeee

Work Expirience:D

Last week all Tys were on work experience. I went to Trócaire in Maynooth:D I had a great time and would really reccommend going to Trócaire as a work placement to anyone(: I got to talk to loads of different people from different departments. Everyone was really friendly and I setteled in really quickly. I got to go to a school in Mullingarr and talk to the kids there about Trócaire, Daniel and their lenten campaign. We also went around to all the classes and thanked them for supporting trocaire in previous years by putting money in the Trocaire box. That was my favourite part(:
I also had to write reports on all the interviews I did, as well as doing a bit of shredding. Which by the way is great fun if you need to let off a little steam:L

I got to learn all about the developing world and what Tróaire is doing to improve conditions in those countries. I learned a lot about Uganda in particular as Daniel's hometown in Uganda is the focal point for this years Lenten campaign(:
Well thats pretty much it, cya:D

St.Brigid :D

Hola :)
Today is Thursday and I have a cold -_-
As you know it was st.brigids bay on the first of febuary and to acknowleged this my year took a trip to Brigid's well in kildare village. We saw her cathedral, which is now used by the curch of ireland, we saw Brigids kitchen, the round tower and the site of the eternal flame. My favourite part of the day was Brigid's second well, it was peaceful and eventhough some people in the class weren't that religious I think everyone enjoyed the day. It was great to find out about Brigid and see things that have been around for hundreds of years.

First of Feb:)

It's the first of Febuary so happy St.Brigids Day :L Our class has organised the prayer room to celebrate St.bridgets day (: we've painted a round tower, built a well and made a wall hanging as well as making about a hundered brigids crosses (: Hope everyone has a good day in memory of the amazing woman that was st.brigid, we're going to visit her well in kildare on monday (:

Looking for a part time job this week inspired by a talk we were given in careers :D so hopefully that goes well and I'll have a job by the end of the month :D

What are you looking at ? :O

We performed our play 'what are you looking at ?' (hence the blog title)  for the first time on a real stage in Mullin Garr :) All the actors were great and although the lighting and sound was abit off the play still went very well and i felt proud to be a part of it :) Hopefully we'll go on to the next stage of the competition but even if we don't I still enjoyed the whole expirience.
Second week of work expirience is coming up and im going to trocaire :) I'll talk more about it after i've actually done it.
Things are calming down for a while anyway, I think. Not too many trips so I shouldn't be too tired in the weeks to come :D But it's never boring in TY so I probably wont get too realxed :P
Later..

Young Scientist

Attended the young scientist on Friday had a great day and came home with a bag full of freebies :)
This week I've been mainly concentrating on subject choices and future career paths, I know it seems a bit early but mock subject choices are coming up and I think I've almost decided what subjects I want to take for leaving cert, at the moment it's History, biology and music. However that could change in the next week or even by the next class as every teacher is trying to promote their subjects and I'm quite easily swayed :L

Apart from the stress of deciding my future :L our play rehearsals for other briary gap are in full swing, they would be going pretty well if we had to perform in three weeks, but the reality is our first performance is next week and it will decide if we continue to the next level of the competition or not. We've put alot of work into it so I hope it goes well. So wish me luck :)

Although our project didn't make it into the young scientist it will be appearing in scifest so there's still alot of work underway there. Come along and have a look if you want haha :L
Later :)
